Flutes

FLUTE  SERVICE

  • Strip and clean instrument
  • Clean keywork as allowed with pads still present
  • Adjust and fit head joint/ as necessary
  • Clean and regulate padding replacing up to 3 if broken ( if more need replacing, a small charge will be added )
  • Replace any missing corks or felts
  • ​Oil mechanism

 

FLUTE OVERHAUL

  • Strip and clean instrument
  • De-pin keywork and clean
  • Adjust to good working order
  • Adjust and fit head joint / foot joint as necessary
  • Replace all pads
  • Replace all corks
  • ​Replace all felts
  • ​Oil mechanism
  • Set to good playing order

Clarinets

CLARINET SERVICE

  • Strip instrument
  • Wash body if plastic. If wooden, clean and oil bore
  • Clean keywork as allowed  with pads still present
  • Replace any missing corks or felts
  • Replace joint corks if necessary
  • Replace any broken pads ( anymore than 3, a small extra charge will be made)
  • ​Clean and adjust padding to good playing order


CLARINET OVERHAUL

  • Strip   instrument
  • Wash  body if plastic. If wooden, clean and oil bore
  • Clean key work and rods of old oil
  • Remove  play-in mechanism
  • Replace all pads
  • Replace all corks 
  • Replace all felts                                                                                                                    

Saxophones

SAXOPHONE SERVICE

  • Strip instrument
  • Wash  body and crook
  • Clean keywork as allowed with pads still present
  • Clean and regulate padding, replacing up to 6 if too old or broken (if more need replacing, a small charge will be added)
  • Replace any missing corks or felts
  • Oil mechanism


SAXOPHONE OVERHAUL

  • Strip  instrument
  • Wash body and keywork
  • Remove  dents in body and crook
  • Level  toneholes (with minimal filing)
  • Tighten keywork ( when possible, I always replace rods when keywork is loose rather than using pliers to swedge barrel tubing)
  • Replace broken or rusted springs
  • ​Replace all pads
  • Replace  all corks 
  • Replace  all felts
  • Oil  mechanism                                                                                                                                      

Oboes

 OBOE SERVICE

  • ​Strip  instrument
  • Wash body if plastic. If wooden, clean and oil bore
  • Remove and clean octave boxes
  • Clean keywork as allowed with pads still present
  • Replace any broken pads with cork or skin pads as necessary (any more than 3,  a small extra charge will be made)
  • Clean and adjust padding to good playing order


OBOE OVERHAUL

  • ​Strip instrument
  • Wash body if plastic. If wooden, clean and oil bore
  • Remove and clean octave boxes
  • Replace all corks
  • Replace all felts
  • Replace all pads ( for full cork padding, an extra charge will be made)​
